Update: Summer 2023
Welcome Summer
The beach balls are hanging in our lobby. The pools and the misting fans are ready to go. The towel stack is taller so we can send the pool goers home mostly dry. Here’s to a fun and safe summer for all.
As a reminder, our summer care protocols include:
Ceiling fans on in the barn
Misting fans on
Small pool out on days when the temperature is over 85; large and small pools out on days over 95. Used water goes on the play yard plants at the end of the day.
Frequent measurements of play yard surface temperature using our infra-red thermometers.
Play yard sprayed with water to cool as necessary.
Crate rest for Campers who need it
Ice cubes in the water bowls on extra hot days
At night, air conditioning on in the sleepover area
New Team Members
You may have noticed a couple of new faces at drop off and pick up.
Josh joined us a little over a month ago and has quickly become a Camper favorite. With his calm presence and his dog care background from volunteering at Pet’s Lifeline, he is a great addition to the team.
Alexandra has been here for a couple of weeks. A friend of Briana’s, she will be a Junior at Sonoma Valley High School this Fall. This is Alexandra’s first job. It’s clear that her two dogs at home have prepared her to provide great care to our Campers.

Saturday Hours Effective August 5th
We are making a small change to our hours. Effective the first Saturday in August, Saturday hours will be 8:00 am until 6:30 pm. That means every day of the week, we close at 6:30. All else remains the same – day care Monday – Friday 6:30 am – 6:30 pm and Saturday 8:00 am – 6:30 pm. Sunday day care is available to sleep over Campers only.
Suddenly, Everyone Is Traveling Again
Or at least it seems so. Our overnights are booking up into the Fall. If you have travel plans and need a place for your Camper, please let us know as soon as you can.
The (it really is going to happen some day) Remodel
We continue to wait for final sign-off from the City’s Building Department to begin our remodel project. As we understand it, they are still working through a Covid-related backlog. Whenever we get the green light, we will give everyone a 60 day pre-notice of when we will close for a week of construction. Thanks for being as patient as we are with the process.
